Affinity chromatography is a selective purification method that captures target molecules from complex systems based on highly specific biological interactions between two molecules.
When using affinity chromatography for purification, we need to fully evaluate the structure and affinity site of the target product. For example, some recombinant proteins will introduce histidine tags during the carrier construction stage, and affinity packing materials containing nickel ions can be used for capture; while for recombinant proteins containing GST tags, glutathione affinity chromatography can be used. For the capture of therapeutic antibodies (monoclonal antibodies, double antibodies, and polyantibodies), it is necessary to select chromatography media based on the antibody structure. For example, for antibodies containing the complete antibody structure (including the Fc region), protein A and protein G affinity chromatography can usually be used for capture.
BioLink's chromatography medium production base is located in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, covering a total area of over 7,000 square meters. With a total investment of more than 100 million yuan and nearly 100 employees, the factory is responsible for the R&D and manufacturing of purification and cell culture products such as chromatography packing materials and microcarriers. Up to now, the base has a 500L and 1000L chromatography packing production line, and a well-equipped quality testing laboratory (which has passed the ISO9001:2015 quality management system certification). The planned total capacity of the plant is 80,000 liters/year.
